Bluejays set five personal records at Horicon River Run (Cross Country)

On Thursday, September 25th, the Johnson Creek Cross-Country team competed at the Horicon River Run. The Bluejays ended the meet with 5 personal records.

The men's team placed 8th, with Frankie Gutierrez running for a time of 18:08.20 and finishing in 9th.  Evan Chowanec ran for a time of 18:59.80 and finished 37th, while Collin Hucke ran for a time of 20:27.50 and finished 72nd. 

The men’s team also finished with three personal records. Maxwel Chowanec finished 57th with a time of 19:52:30.  Meanwhile, Duncan Thomas finished 74th with a time of 20:30:70, and Ryder Kerttula finished 121st with a time of 28:56:30.

For the Johnson Creek girls' team, there were two PR’s.  Sophia Le finished 84th with a time of 27:07:30, and Maddie Esteves finished 88th with a time of 29:14.40. 

Overall, the girls' team placed 9th.  Lauren Nadboralski finished 12th overall with a time of 21:33.00, while Lia Constable finished 15th overall with a time of 21:43.10.  Kiara Dach finished 32nd with a time of 22:41.20.  

The Johnson Creek Cross Country team will travel to Green Lake for the nightfall classic on October 3rd.
