Johnson Creek Scores Road Win Against Dodgeland (Football)

On Friday, September 26th, the Johnson Creek Bluejays defeated the Dodgeland Trojans on the road at Dodgeland High School, 48-0.

In the first quarter, at 6:38, Johnson Creek running back Owen Blakey (#24) ran in for a 5-yard touchdown. Hayden Wagner’s (#21) extra point was successful, giving the Bluejays the lead, 7-0.

Later in the first quarter at 1:34, Johnson Creek running back Luke Hartz (#9) ran for a 62-yard touchdown. The extra point attempt by Hayden Wagner was good, putting the Bluejays up 14-0.

At the start of the second quarter at 11:21, Jackson Raabe (#7) ran for a 58-yard running touchdown. Hayden Wagner’s extra point was successful, giving the Bluejays the lead, 21-0. 

In the middle of the second quarter, at 8:32, Luke Hartz ran for a 2-yard touchdown.  Haydan Wagner’s extra point was successful,  giving the Bluejays a 27-0 lead.  At the end of the second quarter, with 4:53 left, Luke Hartz ran for a 1-yard touchdown. The extra point by Wagner was good. At halftime, the score was 35-0, Bluejays. 

The third quarter went similarly.  At 5:09 left in the third quarter, Hartz ran for a 16-yard touchdown, making it 41-0.  The extra point attempt was no good.

The Bluejays still had gas in the tank. With 11:52 left in the fourth quarter, Owen Pernat (#18) ran for a 10-yard touchdown. Wagner’s extra point made the score 48-0.  The Bluejays would go on to win by that score.  

For the Bluejays, Luke Hartz rushed five times for 103 yards and 4 touchdowns.  Furthermore, Jackson Raabe carried the ball 10 times for 120 yards and a touchdown, while Owen Pernat carried it three times for 67 yards and a touchdown.  Bluejays quarterback Slias Weisnicht (#14) was 3 for 9 for 64 yards.  

On Friday, October 3rd, the Johnson Creek Bluejays ( 5-1 overall, 3-1 in conference) are headed on the road to Cambria-Friesland ( overall 4-2, conference 3-1) for a conference matchup at 7 P.M.
