Bluejays fall short at Parkview (Girls Basketball)

On Tuesday, December 9, 2025, the Johnson Creek girls' basketball team lost in a Trailways South Conference game at Parkview, 49-34

Parkview started hot in the first half, but the Lady Jays were fighting to keep the game close. Parkview led by a score of 24-13 to end the first half. In the second half, the Lady Jays mounted a comeback, but could not take the lead.  The final score of the game was 49-34, Parkview 


For the Bluejays, sophomore Paige Swanson (32) had 10 points. She went 5-12 from the field. Furthermore, senior captain Alyssa Hucke (3) had a total of 6 points and was 3-11 from the field. She also recorded 6 rebounds and three steals.  Continually, Junior Lydia Wetzel (34) had a total of 6 points and went 3-4 from the field. She also had 9 rebounds for the night with 7 blocks. Lastly, Lia Constable (12) had 8 rebounds.


For Parkview, junior Makenna Phillips (44) finished with 23 points and was 10-20 from the field.  Furthermore, senior Katie Treinen (5) had 6 points and 12 rebounds.  Sophomore Hannah Treinen (20) also had 6 points. 


The Johsnon Creek Bluejays (0-4 overall, 0-2 in conference) will face off against the Palmyra-Eagle Panthers (1-4 overall, 0-2 in conference) on Friday, December 12th, 2025 at the Berres Fieldhouse in Johnson Creek.
