Lady Jays come up short against Portage (Girls Basketball)

On Monday, December 15th, 2025, the Johnson Creek Bluejays girls basketball team fell short on the road against the Portage Warriors (1-3), 46-30.  

The Bluejays put up a valiant effort, but fell short.  Junior Lydia Wetzel (34) led the way for the Bluejays, scoring 10 points on 62 percent shooting.  Sophomores Lia Constable (12) and Paige Swanson (32) also added 6 points each.

Meanwhile, for the Portage Warriors, senior Trinity Williams (22) had 16 points.  Furthermore, junior Josie Kiefer (10) had 11 points, and junior Julia Chilson (40) had 10 points.  

The Johnson Creek Bluejays (1-5) will have a layoff until Friday, January 2nd, 2026, when they will battle the Big Foot Chiefs (3-4) at Johnson Creek High School.  Tip-off is at 6 pm.
