Bluejays dominate Cambria-Friesland (Boys Basketball)

On Monday, February 9th, 2026, the Johnson Creek Bluejay boys basketball team won against the Cambria-Friesland Hilltoppers (5-14) at Johnson Creek High School, 72-37.

Johnson Creek came in with a strong start and dominated the first half against Cambria, scoring 42 points by halftime, while Cambria scored 17. Throughout the rest of the game, the Bluejays continued to soar through their opponents and earn a total of 72 points, leaving Cambria in the dumps with a score of 37 total points.


For the Bluejays, senior Brady Fincutter (0) and junior Hayden Wagner (1) carried the way, with Fincutter earning 24 points and Wagner adding another 20. 


For the Hilltoppers, senior Dayton McBride (5) notched a double-double, scoring 13 points and snagging 11 rebounds. Senior Alexander Raymond (12) was close behind with 11 points.


The Johnson Creek Bluejays (12-8) will travel to face Abundant Life Challengers (14-5) in a conference matchup at ALCS on Thursday, February 12th, 2026. Tip-off is at 7:30 pm.
