Bluejays fall to Mineral Point (Boys Basketball)

On Saturday, January 31, 2026, the Johnson Creek Bluejays boys basketball team lost to Mineral Point (12-3), 76-53.

The Pointers controlled the first half, dominating by a score of 39-20 at halftime. In the second half, even with the Bluejays catching up fast, the Pointers still took the win by 76-53. 

For Mineral Point, senior Drew Aschliman (11) had a great performance, scoring 18 points. Furthermore, he had some help from his teammate Keaton Dempsey (21), who scored 15 points. Mineral Point also received 13 points from senior Thorin Vamstad(1). 

For the Bluejays, Brady Fincutter (0), Jon Kamuchey (12), and Ethan Broich (21) scored 12 points each.  The Bluejays also received help from Kace Friemund (13), who scored 6 points. 

Up next, the Johnson Creek Bluejays boys basketball team will be traveling to take on the Parkview Vikings on Tuesday, February 3rd, 2026, at 7:15 pm.
