Bluejays take care of Whippets in a home sweep (Volleyball)

JOHNSON CREEK- On Tuesday, September 1st, 2026, the Johnson Creek Bluejays varsity volleyball team swept the Whitewater Whippets in three sets at Johnson Creek High School, 25-10, 25-9, 25-14.
In the first two sets, it was all Bluejays. With great serves from Olivia Frey (13), Kira Boehm (12), and Cari Armstrong (3), the Bluejays were able to take care of business in the first two sets.
In the third set, the Whippets showed some fight. After falling behind 6-3, the Whippets were able to tie it up and eventually take the lead in set 3. However, the Bluejays would bounce back, with Boehm and company providing some clutch serves to finish off the Whippets in three sets.
In the sweep of the Whippets, Bluejays junior setter Olivia Frey put up 19 assists, and junior Kira Boehm served seven aces. Additionally, sophomore Attigun Benz (4) finished with seven kills.
The Johnson Creek Bluejays (5-2) will compete next on Saturday, September 5th, 2026, at Johnson Creek High School in a Triangular against the Jefferson Eagles (5-4), the Fall River Pirates (4-3), and the Kenosha Bradford Devils (3-5). The games begin at 9 a.m.
