On Friday, September 18th, 2026, the Johnson Creek Bluejays steamrolled the Dodgeland Trojans, 43-12, in a Homecoming thriller at Johnson Creek High School.

The Bluejays started hot with a 60+ yard run by running back Chris Cordova (31) to bring the Bluejays inside the 10-yard line, and two plays later Fullback Carlos Martinez (14) scored an 8-yard rushing touchdown; Cordova then converted the 2-point conversion, making the score 8-0.

The Bluejays didn't stop there.  Freshman quarterback Jaxon Nadboralski (6) ran in a touchdown, making it 14-0.  The extra point was no good.  The Trojans fought back with a rushing touchdown by Kiptyn Wolter (26), but missed the extra point, making the score 14-6.

The Trojans stayed hot in the second quarter with Noah Kohn (3) stripping the ball from Chris Cordova. The Trojans converted on a fourth down with a fake punt but had to punt it anyway a few plays later. The Bluejays took advantage with a Nadboralski rushing touchdown and a hard run by Michael Heinrich (88) for the two-point conversion, making it 22-6. The Bluejays would score again when Nadboralski threw a 20-yard touchdown pass to Nolan Murray (10), making the score 28-6 at halftime.

To begin the second half, both teams stalled on their first drives.  The Bluejays failed on fourth down, and the Trojans punted. The Bluejays then got a long drive started with a 40+ yard run by Nadboralski;  then 2 plays later, a rushing touchdown by Nadboralski made the score 36-6.  The two-point conversion was no good.   The Bluejays would find the end zone one more time on a jet sweep to Jeffery Wilson (18).  The extra point by Michael Heinrich was good, making the score 43-6.

The Trojans would score a touchdown by Kohn with one second left, making the final score 43-12.

For the Bluejays, quarterback Jaxon Nadboralski had 33 passing yards with two touchdowns and 226 rushing yards with another three touchdowns on the ground. He also had five total tackles on defense.  Other notables for Johnson Creek were Chris Cordova, who had 15 rushes for 134 yards, and Nolan Murray, who had one catch for 20 yards and a touchdown.  Additionally, Murray had eight tackles on defense.

The Johnson Creek Bluejays (2-3) will play against the Fall River/Rio Rebels (3-2) at Glover Field at Johnson Creek High School next Friday, September 25th, 2026. Kickoff is at 7:00 p.m.
